Microphlebectomy Treatment

You may feel some minor pain or stinging with a needle stick to numb each incision site. Small micro incisions are made above the veins to remove the vein segments.
You may feel some pressure or mild sensation of pulling. After treatment a small adhesive bandage placed over the puncture site. Compression stockings should be worn for 1 week following procedure.

Symptoms are caused by the diseased superficial vein. Thus, symptoms may improve as soon as the diseased vein is closed.

Many patients return to normal activity immediately after the procedure. Your doctor can help you determine when you can return to normal activity.

Most patients feel little, if any, pain during the outpatient procedure.

Most patients report little-to-no bruising after the procedure.

As with any procedure, insurance coverage may vary. For more information, please contact your insurance provider.

Vascular Treatments

Spider Veins

Sclerotherapy

Tiny needles are used to inject a solution directly into the vein. This solution irritates the lining of the blood vessel, causing it to collapse. Over time, the vessel turns into scar tissue that fades over time.

Vein Seal

VenaSeal

The VenaSeal system delivers a small amount of a specially formulated medical adhesive to seal the diseased vein, rerouting blood to nearby healthy veins.

Closure Fast Procedure

ClosureFast

A small incision is made to access the vein. A cathetar delivers radiofrequency energy to the vein wall, causing it to heat, collapse and seal shut. Once the diseased vein is closed, blood circulation is diverted to other healthy veins.

Vein Disease Treatments

Microphlebectomy

Microphlebectomy is sometimes recommended to treat unsightly or painful leg veins close to the skin’s surface. With microphlebectomy, varicose veins are removed through small punctures, which leave virtually no scars.
